I have still not got a new TV yet so need to get one sorted. At the minute i can get 10% off the price shown and also have £150 of vouchers i won.
Which one is the better out of the two below.
Toshiba (http://www.coopelectricalshop.co.uk/products/ProductDetail.asp?ProductCode=TOS-LCD-32XV555DB-BK)
Samsung (http://www.coopelectricalshop.co.uk/products/ProductDetail.asp?ProductCode=SAM-LCD-LE32A558P3FXXU-BK)
thanks in advance

Personally I'd go for Samsung as they are more reputible and have links with Microsoft as they designed a TV for the 360 but the only way to tell is go to shop that sells TVs and ask if they have them and see the quality for yourself then buy it on the net

Got to be the toshiba with its much better contrast ratio, though it would be nice to see them side by side.
Also if you do go with the toshiba buy it from Dixons where it is 399 unless youre 150 vouchers only apply to coopelectrical.

Hmmm ...
I'm biased, so I'd say Samsung, however going by the specs the Toshiba does have that "little more" umph on the contrast ratio.
... I'd still by Samsung though. Ha!

I'd also personally say Samsung, as I'm also biased :homme:

why are you biased?
Majority of things I own are samsung, it says quality just by looking at it.
2x TV's
Monitor
Phone
DVD / Bluray
...etc
Never had a fault with any of them.
Although Toshiba do make very good TV's.

You cant argue with reliability so peoples comments on that should be a big influence.
BUT now youve bought the 37" toshiba into the mix, and lets face it lads, size matters!
5" doesnt sound like much but when you actually compare it:
32 inch 16x9 37 inch 16x9
Width 27.89 inches 32.25 inches
Height 15.69 inches 18.14 inches
Area 437.55 inches 584.97 inches
Obviously most important, actual area which is 33.6% more! Thats more than a third!
If the 32" toshiba is 460 quid then the 37" is effectively worth 613 quid. A lot more than the 500 stated!

If size is the issue, go and buy a 50" one .. made by some company like "HysicKah" ... for about £200

Samsung look the part, do the job and a reliable brand.
Don't get me wrong, Toshiba's are still "good" but they do have problems, common one is the power circuit iirc. Missus's parents had theirs replaced already in under a year.
They have it on 24/7 though.. serious.
