piper/kent cams

hi everyone. does anybody know the cheapest place to get a piper or kent cam kit?
looking for a cam that will give me the most bhp without having to raise the head i think you can get a 10, 12, 14 & 16 bhp increase cam. i think about a 270 degree would be about right
but i dont know a lot about them and which one is the best to get. can anyone help me plz

you won't get near a 10bhp increase with just a cam on it's own mate. you're best to have some headwork done and then a remap to get the most out of a cam. which cam you get depends on how you want the car to drive ie more low end/mid range but less top end, increased mid and top end but compromised low end etc etc

o rite .that must be the increase after a remap then or somethin. i just got those bhp increases of the piper and kent websites. when you say head work what exactly do you mean buddy?
i will be getting a remap after the cam is fitted anyway also do you think its best to get a kit or just the cam?
is it common for the followers to be too worn for just a cam replacement?

pm ratty cause he knows loads about cams... i have the kent cam like you have seen and it works fine without a remap. kent cams wbsite say you can get up to 22bhp without anyother mods.... speak to them... they will smileys/smiley17.gif know the most....

really dont beleive the box, 22bhp off a cam with no otehr mods is laughable

dont forget about QEP, they can do cams and also do headwork, done really well on Andy Deas head.

If a cam manufacturer said you would only get a 5bhp increase or 15 or so when you remap and get headwork, do you think they would sell well?
