any way of tellin if a rear beam is ok if it aint on the car?

got a rear beam from scrappy it was already taken off the car before i brougt it the guy said they dont take them of and sell them if they naffed but this is an exchange for 1 i already had of him put it on my vtr and it was naffed so went back and he changed it for the last 1 he had but dont want to wast time putting it on if this 1 is naffed to so just wondering if i could tell if it was ok before i put it on?:geek:

There will be play in it and the wheels won't line up straight are a few tell tale signs, they will look on a cambre
