how low on 17’s ?

Ive got 17's on my vts, i was just wondering how far i can lower my car, whether i could lower it 50mm or not. if i could, would i have to roll the arch's and or roll the lip? If i have to roll the lip how would i do it?
I kno you have probably been asked this hundreds of times smileys/smiley5.gif , but i havent seen ne topics about it since ive been a member.

can't roll the arches on the saxo as they're plastic, you have to cut/trim them. i've seen a saxo 100mm on 17's so 50mm is possible smileys/smiley17.gif if you do a 'SEARCH' and have a look at the FAQ section buddy you should get all the info you need. smileys/smiley4.gif

17's will rub without lowering. the more you lower the more work to do

so if i lower them 50 mm wat would i have to do to the arch's? i already got 17's on the car wen i bought it so would be easier jus lowering it on them, or will have to sell them n get 16's but aint got enuf money after selling them.

i am on 17's with 50mm drop on both ends and they rub, gonna move to 16's now cos the gearbox cant handle the 17's.

Thats a bitch, im gunna wait till after new year to do ne more mods anyway and hopefully will have enough to buy 16's then.

my vts is lowered 35mm on 17's and u have 2 do lots of arch mods!!!!!
but it handles amazingly and i can get me + 3 in the car with very little rubbing!!!!!!!

Hi mate am down 35mm on the front and no catching at all except full lock slight rub no mods on the front, but you have to remove rear bumper bracket they cause you probs, also the size of tyre if you run 195/40/17 then it stops rubbing if you run 205/40/17 then you will get the rubbing, got my 50mm springs to slam it now and also wide arches so might sell the 17's and go for 18's hopefully in chrome hehe
