We ended up removing the washers from both ends of each torsion bar and using like a trolley jack handle as a drift and hitting it with a proper sledge hammer to get the moving after exhausting all puller and slide hammer routes!
It was not an easy job! Took about 6 hours!!!!

Slide hammers are absolutely useless much of the time and wont do bugger all on a stiff bar
Big hammer and bar works every time :)

Oh yeah and because ours were so seized in it began to separate the rear trailing arms at one point so they needed to be ratchet strapped togther if your drifting them out, the beam splines out through the arch (if that makes sense)

hit it the other way beanie
bash it out then push the arm up and you can tap it back through over the top of the arm with about 2 or 3 hits
saves messing strapping the arms

Air Chisel FTW! Get a chisel thats pointy, old socket that fits snug over the end of it but small enough to go in the end where the bar is! Then just go for it, the vibrations push the bars out nicely!
If you havent got a air chisel as said bar and hammer works well to you just cant give up haha! :y:
