You will have to find special insurance for a few weeks.

And if your under 21 thats near enough impossible...

Norwich Union charge £40 to cancel a policy but if your insuring it for less then a month I suggest you invest in a push bike!

Where you going out of curiosity?

manchester

its about 200 miles away (i think) and i dont wana put loads of miles on by going back and forth. plus i cant really afford to run it whilst being up there

i guess though seeing as summer holidays are pretty long (2 or more months?) at uni. then i could insure it for then, i wouldnt mind paying £40 to cancel a policy.

hmm decisions. ill have to look into it more

put it on ya mum or dads insurance with you as a named driver? you'd have to keep it taxed for the year but as a one off fee thats not so bad compared to finding cheap 2 week insurance..

no point insuring it under their name to then not drive it

plus its more to insure it with me as a named driver, than with me as main

Im in a similar position but i just paid for a years insurance last september, £700 and only driven the car for 6-7 weeks since then. I just rekoned it would be much easier doing it that way and building up my no claims. Expensive but hopefully will help in the long run
