Just got a quote on 09 plate Zetec S with Elephant, £1,160 fully comp, on my own, with Mum as named driver! This is being 18 with a years driving experience, no accidents or points, but also 0 NCB. I was really shocked when I saw the price!

I've been with elephant. Good prices but when I had to claim they were incompetent and "lost" my car when I wrote it off. Was not bothered as I just wanted the money.

End of the day, they're just as bad as each other. I only went with them for the price. £30 more for a VTS than my old 1.0i FTW

It was the age and with 0 NCB that made me think it was a good quote.

I thought mine was just £150... until i went to pay for it n checked the excess details...

Less than 21 years = Compulsory - £250
Age 21 - 24 = Compulsory -£150
Over 25 with a full UK licence for at least a year = £0 - This applies to us.
Over 25 with a Provisional UK licence or a full UK licence for under a year
If you claim for fire or theft the following excess applies = £150

only £300 for my excess, so not bad at all :y:

I went with elephant... was on provisional on £900 for a furio 51 plate.

They said it would go up to £1100 when i passed.

Got the stuff through, said i was a female, however all my letters were adressed MR etc.

When i passed we phoned them up... they said cos i was a male they would add £1500 + charge and extra £400 because i passed, not the £200 they first said...

My mum, sister and bro are with them and they are cheap. Just being 17 male and having a furio isnt the best idea ;)

Put deposit down on a 09 plate Fiesta Zetec 1.4 yesterday. The insurance is £1,099 with Elephant, fully comp, on my own and im 18 :)
