Museums are either cheap or free, the rest is up to you. A pint is £3 at it's cheapest or up to a fiver or more, while I've spent over a tenner a glass on wine in the west end.
check the web sites, laterooms, toptable, etc for the best deals. I did an extremely expencive hotel, an extremely pricey french resterant (both in Mayfair) and a couple of days out at the tate and the natural history museum with change from £350 between the two of us last year

Well to get there = £0 walking
Walk around = £0
And to get home = £0 walking
Total = £0 :y:
Seriousely, not that much, i expect if you go by train for a day out then £100 ( including travel aswell ) would be more than enough :D

Yep but for a day out I might as well give away my weeks wages for the congestion charge

Has to be train'd then you can have a drink etc. I would say £100 after travel is adequate.

deffo get a train as others said congestion and parking is a joke. when weve done jobs down there parkings impossible or very very expensive for the day plus the londoners have a death wish and will do battle with your saxo with their 50k bmws they wont be affraid to take the side off your saxo. its always a garunteed laugh though at how worked up and mental london is to drive in if you dont care about your car.

Thing is I am going to meet a friend that lives just outside of London and then we are going into London, so I could goto meet him, then take a train to london.
I just think it would be fun to drive in London.

Yer, if your going to drive down, defintly park up outside london... in a secure car park and get the train into london its self, then just underground and bus's go weverywhere.

Yep driving in london, epececially as you get near central is a pain in the arse, tubes go to all the places to go to. One of the few occassions where I'll gladly chop the car for public transport.

It amazes me that even at 3-4am you can sit in traffic jammed up at oxford circus

Only costs me £30 to get from Peterborough (70 miles away) to Kings Cross station, and only about an hours train journey.
