Which Mark?

Hi all,

Could anyone tell me what the differences are between the Mark 1 and Mark 2 Saxo please? New to the Saxo world so...

Heard that the mark 2 had a red top lump??? which is high bhp as standard???

Correct me if Im wrong please

Main difference is looks, the mark2 has a totally different front end, different rear spoiler as well. Different interior.

There is also the difference of the engines however i am not sure of whats different there, im sure that some1 else can help you there.

mk1 front lights are square. mk2 are oval

Difference between the MK1 and MK2 on the outside is that they had different front ends, and back lights were same shape but MK1 are slightly tinted where the indicator is and the MK2 isn't.

Engine wise the VTS is the same on both models. The MK1 and early MK2 VTRs had a 90BHP engine and cat under the car but the later model MK2 (after Feb 2001 iirc) had 98BHP and cat in the manifold.

Black Saxo is MK2 and the silver one is MK1
