If you're going to upgrade, I would hold off until you can get/afford a VTS.

not miles of difference between the two.
VTR is still a better model.
I'd have one over a furio for the sake of 2 insurance groups and they're the same value to buy.

Errrrr, i went from standard furio, to vtr with all breathing mods inc de-cat
Hell of a lot of difference over 40mph, although not a massive amount up to 40
Dont know what you lot are talking about tbh!!

yeah, beacuse the VTR had mods, and the standard furio had none. of course theres going to be more difference.
we are talking standard.

Yeah i know but after being on track with furio vs vtr, with pretty much equal mods, the vtr still easily left modded furios

worth the upgrade if its not costing much. very similar power delivery, but obviously the vtr has a bit more. there's a chance it'll have better seats and brakes too.

I wouldnt bother with the hastle of getting rid of a furio to get a vtr tbh

the way i see it.... people spend hundreds on exhausts, induction, cams etc. they go through with the inconvenience of strip out weight saving... why not just spend a couple hundred on a guaranteed 25bhp increase. far more than what you'd get from mods of a similar value. i seem to think furio's are worth about as much as vtr's in the second hand market anyway.

Why not buy no mods and get a vts?

Why not buy no mods and get a vts?
probably just insurance reasons

But then you have to buy no mods even a vtr people get bored why not spend a little more on insurance and get a vts?

save for a vts man. furio to vtr is noticable difference but wait for the vts, will definately worth the wait.

get what your saying but i suppose it depends on how much the insurance would be. plus he might have to spend more on fuel etc

well im 19 and have my own place so i spend about £1000 on bills alone and i got a quote on a vts and it was about 3k!!! i blew up my furio engine so i thought it was a perfect oppertunity to jump up to a 1.6. even if theres not much difference between the two its still gotta be benefitial to get a vtr as vtr and furio engines cost about the same. then when my birthday cake says 21 i will have an 's' on the drive =]

Well about 25bhp difference. Is definetly noticable. I like my VTR alot and am happy with it.
Plus...
VTR - Insurance group 7
VTS - Insurance group 14

i have a furio and my mate has a vtr. i would say the only difference is vtr gets to 60 quicker, as expected with a bigger engine. if ur looking to buy either a furio or a vtr, just remember that there are tonnes more mods n parts available for the vtr...
furio ftw!!! (only cuz i got 1) :fcuk:

-sinden-
29th April 2009, 18:59

vts= tax man bumming,
there just not practical if your on a low income with the running costs. when buying mods you get them when you can afford them. but you gotta pay the running costs no matter what.
