i was checking under my saxo the other day because i was goin to buy a catback system to replace the silencer but i noticed it doesnt look like there is one:s do some cars not have them i know some are smaller than others but am sure there isnt one on mine , so would just a back box do for a lood deep sound ??

if the car is standard then it will have a silcener and a cat. what year is the car and type eg. vtr etc.

it has a cat just cant see the silencer,its an r reg citroen saxo 1.1

aww dont think they came with a mid silcener if i remember rightly.
depending on what backbox you get it will give you a nice sound.

i just wanted to make sure before i wasted money on buying a centre section to replace it lol , i was thinking of getting a sportex backbox 90bucks you think its worth it

as said 1.1s and some 1.4s have silencerless centre sections as standard

mot not far away cant be botherd getting it de-catd then havingto fit it back on for mot ,wouldnt mind a decat but:p

Now i dont think there was one on the smaller engines. Haynes doesn't show one in their underbody pic on the 1.1i

there isnt, i have a 1.1 and its a straight through centre section, the cat/silence is in the manifold.
