I’ve just bought a VTR which has tints all round
About 2 weeks ago I was made to take the front tints off my white Saxo
And week before that I got done for black and silver plates (£30 Fine)
So I was thinking would anyone like to swop my tinted windows for some standard ones?
I can get the rears swopped for £35
so all would ask for is for you to pay to get them swopped and you have got a full set of tinted windows for £35

rears taken out are 3 bolts on each side £35 is a full on rip off tbh mate, unless that includes the rear windscreen

Why would anyone want them if you got pulled because of them? there obviousely not legal.
And the thread title says FREE so why would we BUY them?

That 30 quid is for swopping the rear window.... and i would swop the rest for..FREE!!!
and i dont like just the rear windows tined and not the front... hence them being legal if the front aint tinted...

Swap isnt free. You have to own something to SWAP and first you have to PURCHASE that thing. Not free :n:
Plus you have to buy the windscreen to get the FREE item...

to save £30...
first unplug the wires for the rear heated screen you need to clean all the old glass out including and broken glass. you can just get a long stanly knife blade and push it inbetween the glass and the boot from the inside of the boot. do this all the way round whilst pushing the glass up. might be better to get somone to hold it for you.
once the glass is out you need to get as much of the old bonding off as possible, again use a knife to slice this off but be careful not to scratch the paint work
once you have done this get the new glass and make sure its clean
you now need to seal this in
i used some proper bonding stuff from Citroen but im sure that Tiger Seal or Pink Grip will be fine, imo id avoid silicone
you need to then run a bead of bond round the boot where the old bonding was, try and avoid getting it on the paint. my theory is the more the better but your going to need some alcoholic wipes just incase you get it on the paint work.
now just place the new glass onto the bonding and push down
wipe away the excess
i put a piece of wood under the boot and two buckets of water on top of the actual glass and left it for most of the day for the bond to seal
for the next couple of days take it steady with the boot and make sure when you close it you have another door or window open so the pressure doesnt pop the new glass out when you close the boot
plug the wires back in for the heated screen
id then run some clear silicone sealent round the inside of the glass where it meets the boot just incase there is a channel for water to get in

I got caught with my white saxo and just got told to take them out but its the getting caught again that bothers me lol on my white saxo i have peeled the tints off the front two but getting the glue off is a right pain in the arse it took me 2 hours to do half of one window.
That’s why i just thought getting a new set of windows would be loads easier lol Lazy i know!!! lol
