definately. ferguson played berba, rooney, ronaldo and tevez at the same time in second half of the spurs game, and they scored 5 in 45 minutes. Hopefully hell do the same again!

he's a bit hit and miss really...

scores 4 goals against liverpool:pglad he cant play us next week...

watch him against boro and in quick succesion he hit the corner flag and then completely misses the ball:oops:

still rather have him than fletcher though

Nah he will play defensive, rather annoyingly! I wish people would just realise mostly fergie, when united are attacking they are the best side on the plantet, no one can touch them

When fergie plays this silly little tentative formation we are a mid table premirship side at best

id love to see the stats so far.

I think messi has had the ball more than chelskis 11.

-Jason-

Messi is worrying really

Also lots of diving from barca and thats not a bias view

Lots of fucking awful challenges from chelski to. Refs done well so far, early on a few chelski players could have been booked easily.

i cant see either team keeping 11men on the park mind

-Jason-
28th April 2009, 19:36
No ballack will be gone by the 75th min imo.

We are lucky for it still to be 0-0 however Drogba should have done better

drogba missed chealses only chance

-Jason-
28th April 2009, 19:45
Well aware of that

Ryan

if chelski come away with anything other than defeat they will be very lucky.

\totally outclassed

-Jason-

Take that result all day long.

Much better in the second half

Ryan
28th April 2009, 20:42
Much better in the second half

What because chelskis players touched the ball 4 times?

Still outclassed by a mile, Barca overcomplicate things way to much. I liked the commented about chelskis team at the end, 1 english player :homme:

Great result.

If people actually thought Chelsea would attack this game you know very little about football. As said several times on TV, Barca have scored every game at the Camp Nou this season. To say 2 out of the back 4 were out of position and 2 of the back 4 were actually missing from the game. It was a great defensive game. Chelsea played exactly how they did against Liverpool in the second leg (deep) but this time was successful.

While the away goal is everything in Europe to not concede against Barca that will do me to the ground.

As leckie said for them not to score is the first time its happened this season so a huge deal.

Would have loved drogba to score an away goal but think at home we can control the play more and get more chances

It will be a boring game for someone to watch but tactically it was a brilliant game.

Ryan, what the hell did you expect from Chelsea?

They are not going to go to the Nou Camp all guns blazing, get caught on the attack and lose 4-0 when a draw would away from home suits them perfectly.

They went there with a game-plan, stuck to it and got the result they wanted.

Didnt feel that way, chelski did make some big defensive errors, and were lucky to have 11men at the end. It was really only sa super goal keeping performance that made up for alot of errors/barca trying to score a prerry goal and walk the ball in

Even when playing a game to try and not loose you can play decent football. Chelski were penned in and looked very nervy other than a great goal keeping performance.

Chelsea just defended for 90 mins. They were completely outclassed by Barcelona.

We did make a few mistakes and did tackle a big gung ho sometimes however barca should have scored but seemed to be pissing about if you have the ball in the box shoot dont wait and pass teddy henry lol

Oh well their loss = our gain

They made a couple of errors yes, but other than that they were pretty tight.

You do know the game is over two legs...right?

Point out one clear defensive error. Personally i cant think of one.

Of course they are going to counter and attack, they are undoubtedly the best team in the world (this season).

To say they have 3 of the worlds best up front, Eto'o, Henry and Messi and say they didnt score against 1 player is playing in his natural position (terry), is a good game imo.

Dani Alves was worst player on the pitch for this all evening.

No shit hence why there is the away goals rule.

Playing sitting on your own 18 yard box when the errors were being made how they were didnt look at all comfortable. They can play a defensive game and at leasat plat keep ball, they couldnt though.

Sadly spanish/italian clubs are well known for their theatrics.

They did look uncomfortable and abit scrappy at the back and when eto was through after hitting it through terrys legs he should have scored that was an error on both parts

I would have just expected a slightly stronger midfield performance, to take the pressure off the back 4 who were making sloppy mistakes,

Super impressed with how quickly Barca got the ball off Chelski ALL game.
Does anyone know what the possesion stats were? lol

Petr was awesome tbf, will be a good second leg, can still see Barca winning.

I was really thinking that barca would have nicked a goal yet, they have scored at every home game this season and look the more positive side, hating the theatric by both sides man up and play on ffs how much do they get payed 90k plus A WEEK

I've got a funny feeling that the Man Utd vs Arsenal game will have some goals

SAXOSi
29th April 2009, 08:27
A performance from Chelsea I was totally expecting.
Hard challenges to start with, sitting with two banks of 4, Drogba sitting up high.

Yes Barca had alot of the ball but upto the 80th minute they were not really threatening.

Terry and Alex were awesome.

I thought Drogba was bad for his theatrics but Dani Alves was ridiculous. Henry complained less when he got hit on the head by a Demolition Ball aka Alex's head

Tonight will be much more open

What a shit football match. Chelsea done well to rough them up and distract them from playing decent football. Barcelona looked ropey at the back all night, especially Pique! They will have a weakend defence for the second leg.
