Yeah, was at the portsmouth game on wednesday and met ronaldo, rooney, anderson, fletcher, carrick, van der sar, evans, evra and berbatov actually ;)
Was gonna go tonight but really couldnt afford it as I was made unemployed, but have got my ticket for the Man City game.
My parents are from Manchester and they moved to norfolk before I was born. My whole family is United through and through, and I make the 5 hour journey to United as often as possible.
So I wouldnt call me an armchair fan tbh...

I am feeling sick with nerves, our backline doesnt look good, maybe even have Gibbs and Silvestre (thank god) out. So would have to bodge Eboue right back and Sagna left back, but to be honest I would prefer that than Silvestre any day of the week. If we had our full squad; Gallas, Eduardo, Van Persie, Clichy think we would clinch this 2-1 or 2-0. But with this I am thinking 1-0 Man Utd, or 1-1. Can't see us winning this leg but as long as we get a goal, or only lose by one, think we can do it at the Emirates.
So basically I think we could draw or lose this leg marginally but do it at the Emirates :) But if Ade and Diaby and Cesc play well, this leg is ours!
COME ON YOU GUNNERS! :D

I think it'll quite like last nights match.
A great game of football, but not many goals...
Dont know whos going to win.
The way united have been playing I wouldnt be suprised if le arse won.
Arsenal have a weakened team though, no small russian and a poxy defence.
Luke
29th April 2009, 12:35
I reckon it's going to be a tough game, so I'm going for a 1-1 draw.

The probable start of the two teams Manchester United - Arsenal:
Manchester United: Van der Sar, O’Shea, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Ronaldo, Carrick, Scholes, Rooney, Berbatov.
Arsenal: Almunia, Sagna, Djourou, Tourè, Gibss, Walcott, Denilson, Song Bilong, Nasri, Fabregas, Adebayor.

I'm actually ertain Arsenal are going to have a moment of glory tonight. Think they'll go ahead early, Man U get the equaliser early in the 2nd half then arsenal play their safe game until the last 10 mins then pin 2 before the final whistle
3-1 Arsenal.

Seeing uniteds pre game press conferences fergie seems more worried about not letting le arse score than anything. Which is very good news for Le arse as united are utter shit when they are not playing the attacking game.

Agree. My only concern is arsenal go 2-0 up and Man U pull out theie big guns in the last 15 and put 3 past us. Fucking hate it when they do that but I have to conceed it's pure genious when they do

It shows what united can do when attacking. They are the best attacking side in the world, Just when this negative approach which has crept into old trafford over recent times gets played, they are easily beatable by any team let alone Le arse on form.

Arsenal and Barcelona are the only 2 teams in the world that can spank us, when BOTH teams are playing at their best, and we have to get past them both!
Hoping for a lacklustre Arsenal today, would take a 1-0 and go to the Emirates with that, no Clichy, so let's hope Ronaldo turns up this week to full effect.

I think Le Arse will win 2-1, Fabregas to score atleast one of the goals

Worst performance I have seen from us all seaon, no passion or direction to moves, everytime we got to last quarter of pitch it all just stopped, players acting as if they will catch aids if they shoot. Adebayour was appaling, laziest prick I have ever seen in Arsenal shirt. Big shout to Almunia and Gibbs for giving us the tiniest glimmer of hope of a turnaround. Every player needs to step up and show 10x better performance next week. Dicks :(

according to a fan on radio 5 606 you battered united. LOL.
Listening to the game on the radio Le Arse are very very lucky to be in the cup tie still, as they will be very strong with nothing to loose at Imigrants

Arsenal arent a patch on what they were 4-5 years ago when they head Ljunberg, Pires, Henry, Bergkamp, Vieira, etc, to me they were THE best attacking side in the world to watch, some of the most beautiful football ive ever seen has come from the old Arsenal squad. United when they are at their best are similar, pacy, skillfull wingers, with a clinical finisher in the middle, suprisingly Rooney does a good job of what Henry used to do by hugging the left touchline and cutting inside.

29th April 2009, 23:10

i just hope we aren't made to pay for only getting 1, because it seriously could have been 4 or 5
rossfisher89
29th April 2009, 23:19
i agree alex, i hope not taking our chances doesn't come back to haunt us. we should of been out of sight in first half. But now tie is far from over, but if we score at the emirates it should be enough. we look solid at the back now and i can't see arsenal putting 3 past us if we get that crucial away goal.
Freakin_Sweeet
30th April 2009, 07:31
Cant believe we didnt put it away in the first half. We dominated then, they just seemed to settle for 1-0 and were content with taking us back to the emirates.
The tie should be over by now, but we've made it hard for ourselves
