not sure about the markings - how much did it cost you out of interest. The VTS one is metal so im guessing its for that as the sump could be different on the bigger engine.

It should be the same as your old one.

yeah thats the best bet - should be the same. VTS's and iirc. VTR's are metal

measure it from the handle end of the dipstick against the old one.
that way you know how far down in the sump it sits

if its different it cant measure the oil the same. so it must be wrong

i had the same problem with mines. i had a 98bhp vtr and got a 90bhp vtr one . the 90bhp model one is shorter as it basically goes straight down into the sump. the 98bhp dipstick goes threw a few bends before getting to the sump. thats why the 98bhp one is longer.

I've seen MK2 VTR's (98bhp) with metal and plastic dipsticks. The metal ones are much better as the ends snap off the plastic ones!

Is that a VTR? What's with the 1.1/ Furio airbox setup?

I have the same engine as pics above

My original one was orange, with the plastic bit.

After breaking two, i've now got one from a 1.1 desire (also 3 plug ecu) which is green.
Min and Max line up

But looking a the pic yours is straight, were as the one I've got spirals

Is that a VTR? What's with the 1.1/ Furio airbox setup?

Same setup as mine, must be a late 3plug, as its also got a factory fitted VTS radiator aswell.
