Well, got to MOT place for 9.30...left at 3 O CLOCK!
Longest M.O.T ever...well they fitted my inner CV boot, that took them a few hours(driveshaft OOOUT!)
So,£70 later,i have a new CV boot and no M.O.T...reasons?
Both front brakes are pitted,failure.
Front indicators are "to dim"...they look fine to me.....
Advisorieezz(sp tbh)
Rear passenger indicator, and sligh oil leak by sump "common fault"
so on the hunt for some discs n pads now...fun!

Cheap to get pads and discs bud ;)
Sump will just be a new gasket or lotsa silicone iirc

Out of interest, how much did they charge you for the CV boot, and how many hours?
Mate of mine said 20quid to swap a drive shaft that cost me 35quid..

Inner CV isn't a component of the MOT, only outer boots.

£30 MOT
£40 for the boot cause it took them nearly 3 hours to do it...they had to swap people as the first guy was fucking useless. Should have been more but i'm mates with the recepionist...so result!
Where the hell can i get the rubber brake pedal cover?

I dont dissagree with that, but if they tried to pull a fast one by making you pay for it there and then, when you could have got a 2nd hand shaft & just swapped them over or something at your own leisure.

nah they didnt,me and a mate were trying to get a snapped bolt out and i noticed loads o grease everywhere, did some snooping and found it to be the cv boot. Much rather that changed thatn a fooobarred driveshaft

The inners are a real pain to do.
Drain the gearbox, driveshaft removed, chisel the old boot off, assemble the new one, grease it up, put it back together & peen the edge back on then refit to the car, refill gearbox oil.

Takes me half hour max to change a long drive shaft. 3 hours is taking the piss.
New discs from motor factors are about £30ish
