Ive got a set of 3point harnesses coming and was wondering wat the best place to mount them are, there coming with buckets and i want to keep the rear seats if possible, is there anyway to mount them under the back bench with the seat still in place and is the back seatbelt point a good place to mount them?
cheers

on the back you could bolt them on the middle seatbelt bolts, maybe remove the middle seatbelt to do this, would make sitting in the back hard, but having a full car is annoying anyway, good excuse to tell people to get their own car

could fit them to the rear seat belt brackets (right and left) side seen this done and still easy ish to sit in the back

as said above, in the rear seatbelt clip mounts, and then fit eyes on the outside where the standard seatbelts bolt, and then on the seat subframe

just go for a 2 seater.. if you got buckets no need for bench :)
up to you mate :) but personally 2 seater (y)
so i can mount them to the points that the middle seatbelt is on? and just remove the middle seat belt?
wat sort of connection do the harnesses have, is it fitted like a washer? or a clip as ive just got my seats and the only way to mount them where the old seat belt plug used to be is attach them to the floor inbetween the floor and seat bracket..

If you mount them to the top, where the rear seatbelts are mounted, and you have someone crash into the back of you, and the C pillars crumble, the harness mounts move forward, or even shear off, what happens to you? You go forward into the wheel/windscreen.
Plus there's something to do with the angle the harness is meant to come down from the seat.
yea mounting them at the top isnt a good idea, im gonna mount them to the middle seatbelt points.
