MOT

I have to book my mot this week but my power steering hasnt been working for a while now, i ve tryed hitting it which some people on here suggested which didnt work so i assume its totally knackered. Cant really afford to get it fixed at a a garage so just wanted to now if anyone knew if it would still pass the MOT??

i dont know but it would just make your steering alot heavier.

If power steering is fitted, the engine must be running for all checks requiring steering movement.

Not obvious to me if it would fail an MOT. Perhaps you should ring a garage and ask.
