Been playing like 3 years, started off playing the drums but then moved to uni and couldn't take them so moved onto guitar,

I don't see what the fascination with strat's are, they dont sound too great and they look boring imo of course.

Ive got a Les Paul Black Beauty, 3 humbuckers thanking you.

Been playing for 7 years on and off.

Also had the Burns Brian May replica, that was awesome but I sold it when I got the Black Beauty since I never played it.

No way anyone can diss the strat. There is a reason why so many iconic guitar players used them.

Personally i've never got on with a les paul. To heavy for me.

My next guitar will be a tele.

I agree they do have a good sound for certain types of music, but I just dont like it, much prefer the sounds from other guitars.

Tele, looks even worse! But admittedly I dont think i have heard one so I cant really comment on the sound lol.

Thats a really nice guitar man. My mate has a les paul. It's nice but i just can't seem to get on with it.

As you said though it also depends what kind of sound you want etc.

What amp do you use? I've got a marshall at the moment, 250dfx or something but i really, really want an orange stack. Not really worth it though for home use.

They are kinda awkward because of where the curve is, it sits a bit further back than a strat, same with the brian may one, couldnt use it sitting down as it sat back far too much.

I dunno what amp it is, just a small 10 amp marshall, its enough for what I need it for, mucking about lol. Plus im living in a new build flat now so walls are paper thin :panic:

I played rythem, as the lead was epic at his solos.

agreed with this.. but my les paul junior is amazing, im also looking to get a Telecaster soon.

Absolutely love playing the guitar, every night without fail for around an hour. Play mostly rock, metal, blues and all the fiddly stuff.

Yeah i think it was a fat strat. My old man bought it for me with some inheritence money from my nan.

Haven't played it in a while actually. Bought new strings yesterday for the acoustic and the strat. Might sort them tomorrow.
