I was thinking how long does it take to get a bus license as it may be a canny job for a living?

Sorry think must be over 21 (http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/DriverLicensing/WhatCanYouDriveAndYourObligations/DG_4022547)
or maybe its 18 if on short routes?
Think that if you got lorry license you can get bus license without any more tests, but not the other way round (dvla website got a bit confusing at that stage)
Couldnt handle that job myself, what if you got a load of neds on?

Ah balls, thought it would of been a canny job but noticed this... in bold in the quote below.

* not engaged in the carriage of passengers

3) after passing a PCV test before 10 September 2008 and driving under a bus operator's licence, or minibus permit, or community bus permit any of the following apply:

delivery driver? dhl, tescos, sainsburys somewhere like that
or a post man :D
stagecoach will put you thow your licence at 18, and you will be able to drive all bus's, the money aint great unless you work overtime and rest days, also bus's are auto and 95% of coaches are manual so you cant drive them, would have to take the coach licence yourself but will cost you grands

i have been a bus driver for a year now the money its good if you put the hours in
my company first bristol will put me through my coach test for nothing but the hours are no good as my baby is due next week (little boy)
best job i have had so far as each journey is about and hour plus i get a "rest" for 19 mins at the end of each hour plus a 45 lunch break and i only work 7 to 8 hours a day
