Ie my car is now nine years old and as far as I know the airbag is the original factory item. Do they have a certain lifespan? Should they be changed after x amount of years?
iirc thay advise that there changed every 6-8 years, but i have never heard of anyone changeing them, or one not working due to age

Citroen recommend the airbags and tensioners are replaced every 5 years.
When mine went off in my Westcoast, it just blew open and put powder everywhere in my car. Did shit all to protect me just exploded lol

if you front end a saxo at speed, the bonnet will hit you before the airbag anyway.
never heard of anyone changing them, but if they recommend changing at 10, they should last until at least 12, some may not work before, some make still be going in 20.
