does anyone know how to set the time in a 02 vtr? ive tried holding down both buttons, twisting, pulling. lol

i remember setting it before, but cant remember how i done it.

any help would be appreciated

ahhh!!! same problem! i did it before when i bought the car
then got some work done on the car so i needed it reset again,
got a friend to do it for me cause my fingers were sore from tryin to bloody change the time.
then a few weeks later the clock went forward.
and i dont have a user manual??

my fingers are sore too! lol, i press one it goes to milliage, milliage done ect, but not the clock. its annoying me!

turn the key so all electrics are on, the hold the right button till it the clock flashes

lol yeah theyre a pain in the ass to keep held in!

if i press the left one in the milage resets,
if i press the right one in the dash light intensity changes.
i dunno saxogirl, i think its just us??

dunno what its like on the mk2s but on the mk1 theres to knobs in the dash and the one on the right you pull and twist

it says hold right button on the dials untill the hours or minutes flash. when one of them is flashing press the button to set the hours. wait untill the minutes flash then set them. when both have just been set leave the button

this all has to be done with the ignition on and engine off.
the manual isnt very clear on the instructions but this should help a lot

look above, turn key so electrics are on and hold right button untill the clock flashes, im gunna go out and try it...;)

if not im pluggin out the battery at 12 o clock and then pluggin it back in again! :D

IT WORKED!!!!! thanks,

you hold the right button, untill flashes, the press the same button to change the hour, leave it, then it will chanhge to the minutes flashes, press the same right button to change the minutes, then leave it.
