ignition switch

hi all fitted a ignition switch car turns over but key light flashing have original key in where switch goes and new switch hanging down any ideas as i check fuses do thesesaxo have different switches year to yesr model to model mine is a 11 east coast t reg 99 any help would b thankfully recieved any auto electians bristol area

The key light flashing means your immobiliser has not been disabled by the transponder in the key.

I can't quite understand what you have done. Have you replaced your old ignition barrel for another one with another key?

If you have changed the ignition barrel you will need it re-coding

id just sellotape the old transponder chip into the transponder ariel and tuck it away under the steering wheel! save yourself a few quid on re-coding keys!
