Look at the guide on how to paint and colour code your grille
i know you want to do it to your chevons but its the same thing really
Sand em down From say medium grade to fine grade sandpaper
then paint in thin coats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! leaving time to dry
and laquer them,
not much to it really just got to have the balls to do it.

yes it is really otherwise the paint might not stick and just flake off
and then you would have to sand them down before primer and paint again
save you the hassle if you was to sand them down first

after painting, i would leave them for 24hrs to let paint harden, then lacquer, more resistant to stone chips then
