I have got a ECU sent over from the US via UPS. But according to UPS there is a “Exception” problem and “PACKAGE DATA PROCESSED BY BROKERAGE. WAITING FOR CLEARANCE / BROKERAGE RELEASED SHIPMENT. SHIPMENT IS SUBMITTED TO CLEARING AGENCY FOR FURTHER CLEARANCE “

Any one know what all that means?

Yeah it means that the carrier they are using are holding the package until they have been paid and all the paperwork has been sorted with customs etc. Wont take long to get now.

UPS will be holding the package as Ben said, awaiting customs clearance, but BE WARNED, you may have to pay Customs and Excise duties, UPS are NOTORIOUS for charging that (VAT on the item)

PM me the tracking number and I will use my UPS id to find out for you :)

must admit i ordered some ICE from america and had to pay import duties, wasnt best pleased!

UPS are hand in hand with the Government, and most packages that come from the USA seem to have COD invoices on them!!!

Thanks for all the replies. I was expecting to have to pay VAT and import TAX so am not worried about that. It now says “PACKAGE DATA PROCESSED BY BROKERAGE. WAITING FOR CLEARANCE / RELEASED BY CLEARING AGENCY. NOW IN-TRANSIT FOR DELIVERY “ so guess its on the way to me now :)

What did you expect though?

i didnt expect a bill for £100 thats for sure, i was assured on purchasing the goods that customs expenses were included in the delivery charge.

Its the dogs bits Motec M800, most importantly its fly by wire throttle control ;)
