If you've put neons in your car please let me know how you did it and where the hell i can wire them to!!
Thank you! :D

I take it they run off of 12v ? If so, then you could run direct off of the battery, or the power source in the fuse box.
There is a grommet in the firewall in the passenger footwell, that you can poke the positive lead through to get to the battery. This then goes to a switch. Then to the first neon. Then the second one. Then you need to attach the earth cable somewhere on the chassis (Must be on bare metal.). Dont know if you would equire any inline fuses or anthing though. Dont think you would TBH.

a fuse is a must mate, because if anythings wrong with the neons or wiring the fuse will pop and stop bad things from happening

the cable prob isnt long enough to run straight from the battery, i think you can put it into the back of the cigarette lighter
i got footwell neaons and i joined the wires onto the sigartte lighter and mine work fine.

its better to wire it into, side lights ect so you can control when they work,
i was going to wire mine to cigerette lighter, but mine was a permanent live, so they would constantly be on.
so i got a transformer box, installed in by the back seats. so a direct live goes from battery to transformer, but also installed a switch, in the spare panels where the hazard lights are. so can be controlled
the box can take 4 items to be powered, so i have 2 sets of foot wells, and a long neon tube in my boot.
also it has a fuse, so if anything went wrong, the fuse would blow, rather than blowing up something else. lol
the boxes are on things like, a full neon kit, ect.
probly sell them on ebay and that. but once installed, u dont have to think about the next thing that needs wiring! just wire it in the box

your opinion, not his!
mine are connected directly to the battery, with a switch to turn them on and off. easiest thing to do imo.
any 12v feed will do for the + signal, just connect the ground wire to a piece of bodywork and you'll be fine.

Ive been wanting to do this but not sure how to wire them in. I removed the cigarette lighter from behind had a look at the connector but cant see how I can wire the LED/neons to it. Not the greatest at electrics so didn't wanna risk it as I dont know what im doing.

it's easy enough. you got 2 wires on your neons and two on the cigarette lighter. to see which one is the plus, just try. hold the wires against the connectors. if the neons start working, you got them connected in the right way. if they don't, switch the wires and they should work. then, cut one of the wires and put a switch in between to switch the neons on and off.

I done mine without a switch and by total accident... I just wanted to wire them to the cigarette lighter. Mine had 3 wires running into it, green/yellow, thick blue and thin blue. None on them seemed to work and left it on the thin blue and when I switched my sidelights on last night was shocked to see they were working.

i wired mine to my side lights, really easy
1. locate the grommet that feeds the cables to the door
2. push the wires through, all the way down the wing and through the hole buy th slam pannel
3 take the side light connector out, i used clips that cut the wires for you to attach, wrap in electrical tape in case water gets in
4. put an inline fuse in (5a usually as your sides are fused at 10a) buy them from halfors, £2-3 a go, come with a 5a fuse in.
turn your side lights on and done
this means you cant leave them on because ull get the warning as you would with your heads and sides anyway and you can switch them.
if you want more details or pics pm me :)
