Blocked Xbox

Basicly im looking at upgrading to an Xbox and my friend has one that he is willing to give me for free but the only problem is that its been blocked so you cant go on the internet with it. He tells me that the people he bought it off were hackers or something so it got blocked.

Does anyone know if its possible to un-block them or is that it forever?

you cant get a 'blocked xbox' you tit at the most you can get a banned ip or gamertag which yours with be different

nah they cant ban your serial number, tbh its probly the way you have set it up.

make sure your have set it up right, there is absolutly no reason why it shouldnt work.

xbox live is a cunt to set up, especialy wireless.

you hard wired? what does it say when you try to sign in?

errr yes you can get banned for running modified dvd firmware, and they ban the unique console ID stored in the eeprom which on 360's is embedded in the cpu.

by modified firmware i mean 'xtreme' versions of samsung/hitachi-lg/benq firmware, allowing you to play copied games

i have heard of microsoft unbanning consoles after a certain period of time so you may be lucky

they can ban consoles!!! has maybe its a flashed console so what would be the point of banning the ip if thats the case???

they would normal ban the gamertag and then the console to be fair!



TBH with ya mate dont buy a xbox that cant go online its just pointless :P might as well use it as a door stop :)

Weve tried it at several different houses, mine,his,uni flat and one in leeds lol all with different gamertags

You can unban them with the infectus chip, however you'll need the serial of a "non banned" xbox to spoof onto it ... read up about it.

Motherboard, spoof the drive onto it .. may even be programmed into the GPU.

Pretty sure it takes over the whole console as it's all assigned to the device ID's.

Either fuck about doing that or;

a) Buy a xbox and stop being cheap
b) Get a Infectus chip and read up on it

Hold out and buy one on eBay for that price.

Recently got the father-in-law one off eBay, 3 month old with receipt, 5 games, 2 black controllers, unused headset ..etc ... £180 collected.

Have a browse though... other option is to buy any Xbox, with or without a HDD and do what you like to it, preferably a newer one due to chipsets.

Think I'd prefer a newer "premium" rather than a "elite" at the minute, but then again I'm a picky twat and would have to buy another gloss-black case for it instead of the Dark Grey the elite's come in ;)
