I feel drogba and ballack are facing bans after their actions but I would have done the same

Whats a fucking ban now? nothing.

Its over. Ban in the qualifiers? Wow....

Do you fault them? Amature football the players would be all over the ref after the game.

Its nice to see a bit of passion from the Chelsea players for a change.

Saxo-Will
6th May 2009, 20:56
Even as a United fan, i think Chelsea should have easily gone through, but also the way they acted against the ref wasn't too professional (would have done the same though lol)

Plus would have shown that we still have the best league in the world

the 2 penalties your saying shoulda been, I agree.

Get off the united hate bandwagon though man, it is getting old.

Ryan
6th May 2009, 21:27
hiddink I have the upmost respect for, his interview was much more professional than any of his players or of which I would have got from Arsen wenger in the same situation.

After the abuse chelski fans gave over the FA cup semi final, I am not sorry about the result :P

Jacko
6th May 2009, 21:43
ref was a tosser. robbed is the word.

im not overly arsed but its not hard to see they were robbed.

and obviously hiddink is going to be more reserved then the players he is a manager its his job...the players reacted not unfairly in my eyes...they had every right to go FUCKING MENTAL!

Hiddink was very professional in his behaviour mind, as were most of the chelski squad. Clearly everyone was angry and upset but lets not forget they are in the public eye and are expected to behave in a certain way. Drogba swearing to the TV cameras wont have gone down well in the slightest.

You have poor days, but having a video referee/different rules governing the referee does eliminate alot of the 'shit' that comes hand in hand with football.

If you can say you would hold back of that you have no love for the sport.Well that makes a lot of sense :clapping: I can fully understand the players are passionate about the game, but that doesn't give them the right to get in the referees face like that.

If we apply your logic, all the other Chelsea players, who didn’t confront the ref after the game, presumably have no love for the sport?

Me personally i would have gone fucking mental. Personal or not. Then you're just as bad.

andy gray critisced barca all night for not hainv gone shot on goal, the way i see it, the one shot they did have they scored, and if chelsea were that good then the 7 shots on target they had, they should have put away, win or lose chelsea are out, its about time luck didnt go their way, and as for anelka cheating barca into 10 men, least they deserved!

i give my hats off to anyone who shows passion for there club, be it Chelsea, Utd or Leeds. From someone from a football background the passion is what keeps the game alive for real supporters. Not mickey mouse cunts who dont go to games.

I maybe just as bad. But to a real supporter thats a good thing. Thanks,.

Being a Gooner I don't like Chelsea, but tonight they had more passion than us lot by far. Very very unlucky tonight, this is a prime example of why I think video refereeing should be an option, at least trial it.

-Jason-
6th May 2009, 22:19
Tbh if drogba gets fined on banned for his conduct then Tom Ovrebo should be forced to quit being a ref.

All that was displayed was passion and anger towards someone who has single handedly knocked them out the semi final of the champions league.

Karl
6th May 2009, 22:20
I think its more a trait of personality Leck.

There is no such thing as a "real supporter"
there is more dedication in some supporters than others,

You scored 1 goal, they ALSO had a player sent off, penaulty decisions or not you cant blame the ref solely for being out of the final. His decisions effected both teams, even if they are seen as being more so against chelski. Chelski had other opportunities to score more than the 1 goal they did have.

the thing is and what fucks me off is once the ref has made up his mind ...............he aint changing it so all this bull of 5 or 6 players reminstraiting(sp) and tbf man utd started it with kean eara, makes it cool to the youngsters and its bollocks and 95% he is right, flecher was really really unluck last night thats one of the only desitions ive seen a ref get wrong recently

I dont see how my quote of karls comment was any form of 'trying to provoke a real fan' although seeing as I know you allways want an E fight it doesnt take alot to put in a reason why. Look up globalisiation of sport, you might learn alot as to why 'real fans' can be seen differently in relation to modern society. You forget someone studying something doesnt make them not a fan, usually the research is written by fans because of a passion on a subject.

You'll rarely hear me standing up for Ryan but he has a point.

Yes, the ref bottled it, he didn't have a good game and he made poor decisions for both teams. Chelsea may have had the worst of it but it happens, it's not under their control, that's life

The reason Chelsea lost is that in 3 hours of football they only managed to score one goal. They were always running the risk of a Barcalona goal, they were playing Barca FFS, a team that scored 6 on Saturday. They didn't take the chances they had to finish them and they gave Iniesta one chance. Harsh, but that's enough.

You can't blame the whole thing on the ref, screaming at the bloke after the end of the game isn't passion

I am a united fan and i was gutted when barca scored, it was a good goal though. I think chelsea should have had about 3 penalties, but ballak should have also been sent off. I think united will beat barca in the final still.

I disagree. It shows a complete lack of self-control and professionalism.

so your saying right that for an hour and a half in probably their most important game for a year almost EVERYdecision goes against you - i recon 6penalties - and we get none of them...i was sat their fuming let alone the players who were on the pitch

United fan here. Watched the game. Clearly had 2-3 penalties, which were poor decisions. Abidal sending off another poor decision. 2 wrongs don't make a right though. End of the day, he's the one in charge, whethers he's shit or good, his decision is final. Don't forget the linesman, who could have gave ANY of the appeals. On another note, chelsea should have put the game to bed (yeah, they would have if they had the penalties) but, if you don't get the right decision, carry on and try to get another goal, faffing about in the corner with the ball to time waste.

The real football club have won... the club with an history, with a true spirit, true fans too... with a true passion for the game and a club who want to defend his culture.

at the end of the day no matter how bad the ref was, the ref didnt put the ball in the back of the net for barca. Iniesta, arguably the best play maker in the world, no man within 10 yards of him, Chelsea were asking for him to score, you cant give players of such quality that amount of space, and unfortunately for chelsea they were punished.

Their own fault.

Exactly how I would of put it! When I saw Iniesta at the edge of the box I KNEW it was going to be a goal, plus Andy Gray did his usual jinxing by saying at the start of the 4mins "we could still see another goal"... Three times he's said it, three times its happened. Damn you Andy Gray, damn you to hell.

personally i think Chelsea was robbed !

4 penalty decisions turned away when there should have been atleast 2 given IMO

I've always had a soft spot for Barca but they shouldn't have went through, yes they had more possesion, yes the play real football ... but the only had one bloody shot on target ! 60 mins into the game they never had a shot ... period !
