Just the once sofa or a couple? On the wall means oyu might need to lay the room out differently.

got new stuff coming 16th but not sure where to put the tele before it all arrives so it can all be laid out.

I'd put it on the wall, aslong as it's bigger than the fireplace when it's up there... good reason to get rid of that tv cabinet as it doesnt seem to match with anything...

If it was me, i would leave it where it is. :y:

leave it where it is and get a bigger one if you move it and get rid of the tv stand your have nothing left in that room..

Danr

As Peej said. It's a decent size for the wall, won't look to big and a shelf would be easy. Make sure you can't see the fitting for the shelf. Floating one as such.

No you wont...

You'll go down to Argus and get the TV bracket then go to Ikea and get a black shelf.

Grow some nuts...

Pretty sure when I was looking at brackets they wanted about £100 in Currys / Comet ...

... Same one in Argos for like 30 of the queens.

Im guessing youve just finished furnishing the place and all of a sudden you decide to move the tele... Wouldnt you of thought about this before you furnished the place m8!? hehe neva mind, i kinda like it how it is. If it were me, id got rid of the rad, put the fire place where the rad is now, then put the tv and xbox, sat, where the fireplace is, sorry to burst your bubble!

Listen to him.

I remember when I bought our new tv....
She got up one morning to a lot of sawing/drilling/cutting.

Came downstairs and found a shit full of mess and loads of big holes in the wall. :panic:

Ours is on the wall that backs onto our cupbaord under the stairs. The front of the wii (in a black case) and dvd player stick out of the wall by about half an inch and the rest sits on a shelf in the cupboard. The surround sound is all fitted to the wall with the cables going straight through to the other side. The sky+ box is inside the cupbaord with a remote eye sat infront of the main speaker, completely invisible. And all the cables come through the back of the tv and straight in.

Not a cable in sight ;) I hate cables :drink:

if the tv was bigger i would of said on the wall but it looks roughly same size as fire which might look od imo why dont you get 2 of your mates to lift the tele above the fire so you can sit on sofa and decide for your self , you might listen to us put it on wall and then hate it lol

i just done my place up, and decieded on getting a better stand for the plasma, and stick it in the corner. eye level, rather than higher up on a wall. and your tv looks good where it is,

all depends on the rooms and whats in it, and how its organised.

Dont put it on the wall.

Or you'll stand back, look at it and say 'Needs lowering'.
