http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1015084.htm

i quite like it, iv offered him a swap for my car.

Or could i find a better one.

I like phase 1 306's and it looks in really good nick for the year.

I get the same MPG out of my VTS as my Dturbo. If I had drove the DT econmocally it would have been a lot higher.

£1000 for a P1 is expensive, even in black.

Mine was kinda reliable, turbo blew on it, but I just saw that as a reason to upgrade it

My rule of thumb is people that wanna swap on PH are trying to rid themselves of a problem, thats what i would do ;)

I had a 306 for a first car. Was the 1.9d, had 250,000 miles on the clock and it ran like clockwork. Great little car imo.
I sold it two years ago and i still see it driving about now!!

Looks very nice mate :y:

The milage is quite a lot, but the diesel engines in these as said are pretty tough.

That mileage is fuck all. I bought mine with 109k, drove it til 118k.
That was a 97 R Reg

On Pug306 if you find a DT with under 100k your lucky.

As said these engine are bulletproof! 108,000 miles is nothing on these cars! I have a phase 3 on 96,000 and thees nothing wrong with the engine! Only thing is the bloody electrics are a bit dickish! Electric windows only work when they feel like it... dont know if the phase 1 has the same problem.

Only thing is as said, it is quite expensive for a phase 1, i have seen some phase 2's for that price, even saw a phase 3 a while back for 950 and it was spotless ( was a p/x to clear mind you)

And no offense, but its a bit of a long shot trying to swap a rover for it, unless your car is worth the same?

Also 39mpg... is that all the phase 1 dturbo's get??? Thats pretty bad is it not?... i get more round the 50-55mpg mark.

Getting low mpg on on of these means you must be going some as i have had one in teh past and got massive mpg

I agreed with this as if you have a good solid car with no problems it will sell pretty easy if its priced alright.I have swapped a car in the past and you soon find out whats wrong with it after a while, and most times there is.

That 306 looks ok but it is over priced and i would be very carefull if he dose want to swap, make sure you check the car over really well and test drive it properly.hpi ect

i know, he said hes interested, my cars got like half the mileage and its a y reg. so i dont see why not.

he lives near me anyway so it wont be a problem if he dont like it
