The wife asked me today how id feel about becoming a legal guardian to her little girl.

Im over the moon about it. She already calls me daddy and i love the both of them to bits.

Her little girls biological father is a convicted peadophile (sp) and he has nothing to do with the either of them no longer and the mrs doesnt want him any where near them which is completely understandable.

I was just wondering if anyone on here has become a legal guardian and if so how they went about it. Ive been told i can pay 20 quid to a solicitor and its done but i cant see it being that easy, i presume social services will have to be involved with the decision.

Any help will me much appeticted.

Thanks thom

Thomas is spelt with a silent h so why cant thom?? I thought id be differant from the rest.

Well the mrs has done abit of research and shes found that i have to apply through social services who then will send me to family summit or another court who then will see if i will basically be able to give her everything she needs and give her a stable family life and shit like that. Will get more details up when i have them.
