Hi everyone,

Ive sold quite a few items now on ebay but have a problem with my last transaction,

I advertised a sand blasting machine a few weeks back now, got loads of interest and it sold.

In the Postage section on the listing i put Postage to UK.

After 3 weeks the buyer is now arranging to pay me (even though my ad says payment must be recieved in 48 hours) and i have only just found out that the buyer is in France.

I am not prepared to send the item abroad as it will cost to much.

What should i do? I have contacted ebay. I feel that i shouldnt have to go through with the transaction as the buyer isnt in the UK.

Please help me people.

Thanks

James

not a great expert on ebay, but surly if you stated on the listing that it was postage within the uk ONLY then you should be perfectly fine tbh

Plus he didnt pay up in the time you stated, so it would be void on that point aswell?

The buyer hasnt complied with you terms and u said that you didnt want to send it abroad. therefore you dont have to send it to him.

Or you could ask for extra postage if you want to go through with the sale maybe

I had a listing end like that, did you put United Kingdom only in postage section? If so dont accept the money or send it. The guy that tried to buy mine was ID fraud and ebay were ontop of it within a few days. Send them an email and see where you stand. They are there for advise too :y:

no point going through with the hassle to send it to france. just say to him the problem you have and relist it again on ebay

you could ask them to arrange collection

but as they have broken 2 rules, postage and payment, you will be able to get your money back

in your settings you can stop johnny foreigner bidding

You dont have to send it mate, contact the buyer aswel as ebay and see what he says, if he is willing to pay for the extra postage then jobs a goodun, if not, just re-list / second highest bidder
