....screwing my sub into its sub box? Or will any kind of screw do, ive bee told to use tek screws but i duno.

normal self tappers are fine just dont screw and unscrew them to many times

No no no, you need a special type to put the sub in. They are available from places like B&Q, but you have to ask for them under the counter as the ICE companied have them under investigation for putting them out of trade.

They are silver in finish, and come with a flat head. Quite easy to get them in too.

Nails are NOT what you need at all!

Best bet is self tapping screws, with a little glue down the holes before screwing up tight.

For starters, take your time and don't rush it!
There are many fastening comanies that sell on the net. How about M4 hex-bolts (allenkey type) into brass inserts. Have the inserts counter-sunk into the MDF and secured with wood glue. They look the biz, and can be re-moved umpteen times without stripping the MDF. Try companies like INFAST.
