Story goes my mate at the garage has acquired a Corolla GT DOHC 1588cc 16v 122BHP (poon a VTS :p) and he is restoring it and is mine for £1500 when he is done. Is group 12 insurance but is cheaper than my VTR. Good times

EDIT: 7700rpm Redline - Yeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh Booooooooooiiiiiiiiii

EDIT: it's not an 86 it's the FWD hatchback with the 4AGE Toyota engine in (same as mk1 mr2 and the 86 fyi)

A Corolla GT doesn't have VTEC as its not a Honda.

To the OP- nice little ride, very rare they are nowadays.

Engine is a minter for 140k however the 4AGE engine is one of the few engines renowned for being bulletproof and being a mechanic will get regular maintenance and heard it start today couple of squeaks and rattles but nothing major and the T-VIS (Toyota Variable Induction System) sounds NUTS. Basically just needs a couple of bits painting and paint restoration and wheel refurb

a little? quite a lot me thinks and the engine is mint had a problem with starting due to fuel system but started straight up after and then had a little play in it and just had to take off the induction piping onto bare throttle body was niiiiiiice

Yeahh right not looks like a shed tbh, but with a bit of TLC could look 'alright'. And like other Jap Hatches (Pulsar, Glanza), they may not look great, but they go and sound laaavely.
