just read about raceland 4-2-1 manifold needing an oil filter conversion back to the mk1 type, will every mani be the same or will some you get away with and some you won't?

nice one mate! yeah loads, are there any others you know of that don't need a conversion? and whats the diff between a 4-2-1 and a 4-1 mani performance wise?

uh not off the top of my head i cant think no. the 4-2-1 is for lower rev performance where as the 4-1 is more for a top end rev and more for track cars.

the piper doesn't need oil filter mods either
Janspeed make 2 versions. The one with the sports cat fits without mods. The one without (a 4-2-1 like the raceland) does need the oil filter changed to the mk1 version

The Piper is where my money would go every time. Top quality manifold imo.
