Best bet would be find your local venue then pop along and watch a few events
speak to the clerk of course about classes, fees, licenses etc

for trackdays there are loads and loads of companies that organise them,
Ive used motorsport vision for when i went to snetterton and that was a great experience.
For hill climbs and sprints id just have a search on google for events in your area would be your best bet :y:

Just make sure the car's in good condition, you have mechanical sympathy, and you'll be fine.
Motorsport Vision, Javelin, TrackAction Online, all organise trackdays.

im hoping to do sprints/hillclimbs next year and it all depends on what class you want to compete in.
in a vts you would usually be in a2 which is Series Road Production Cars over 1400cc up to 1800cc but the interior has to be left in and the car needs to be taxed and ticketed.
If you are going to do the usual and strip it puts you in a different class, c2 i think and prepare to have your arse handed to you because there are some bloody fast cars in the c classes.
engine regs are simple keep the block and head out of the same material and then do as you please. suspension is free but the rear has to remain torsion bars. thats for the a2 class anyway.
anyway here is a link to the regs and dates for events
