starting problem

I have a problem starting my saxo and would welcome some advice please
I had to get green flag out after my saxo would not start and they checked the alternator and battery and said it was the battery, it just clicks and does not turn over, I had a new battery fitted but thismorning it did the same, just clicks, any advice
