"Dear Sir,

Yours faithfully."

Pick a calm moment to drop the news verbally - don't worry about the situation too much, just tell him it's something you gots to do and be upfront with him, then follow it up with a letter the next day.

Tell him i've got something to tell you, but its nothing personal
Explain whats happening and explaining you've got a better job, better pay and a lunch break.

Good jobs are hard to come by nowadays, so just take the new one and be civil to your old boss :A:
Just be professional about it.
Explain the situation that you have been offered a job which has better opportunitues/benifits and so you would like to hand in your notice. You dont want to end on bad terms and will continue to work as hard as usual all through the notice period.

NO LUNCH!!! :panic:
just tell him its a better paid job with more privileges, and you'd be stupid to turn it down
You never know if your honest, say better job, better pay etc he might offer you better if he can...

I would ask to speek to him in his office, and explain to him then followed by a writen notice. if he acts stupid about your new companys mot's am sure they will take thier business elsewhere :A:
