Got back from work at 8 and was sat eating some sausage butties in the front room see a police van pull up next to my car and two bobbies get out and start looking over it.
Then one of them started writing somthing out so got up ran outside asked what was up asked me if he could see my insurance mot "yep no problem" go in the glove box valid insurance till july, MOT expiry date 14 feb 09 :panic::panic: fooking shit myself.
Think he thought i was having him on but i honestly thought it was done till november this year got let off with 2 weeks to sort it in the end though :y:
Anyone else done his (maybe not to this extent) and know what the worse case scenario would have been

I've drove around for 2 weeks with no insurance, they decided to cancel my policy but never sent a letter out to tell me for 2 weeks

QUINN DIRECT ARE PANTS, could have cost me my car being taken away

Ive drove around for 3 weeks without MOT forgetting it ran out, even drove down to my grans in staffordshire and can remember times when coppers had been behind me.
Even no people on here who have forgot much longer than that.

To be fair it was probably kept on the police database for atleast a month after it was canceled :y:

lol - they will always give you two weeks for an MOT

When I bought my VTR I didn't realise it had no Tax for two weeks.

In the mean time I got pulled over and they didn't even realise

My Sax came from northern Ireland and still has an mot, which is similar to a tax disc and goes in the windscreen with the expiry date! i suppose that's too easy for the DVLA dickheads to do here *thinks* maybe another way of collecting legal revenue from those who forget? hmmmm!

If he wasn't driving it i don't think he could have had the car crushed?
