Just to clear this up please.

I have a VTR at the moment with VTR alloys and nuts. Tomorrow i'm putting VTS alloys on, whats the deal with wheel bolts.
Tapered? Flat?

Will i be able to use the VTR bolts on the VTS alloys?

Thanks

Yeah a couple of my mates said it will be ok and one even had S wheels with R bolts. I just want to know why people say you cant?
Will it do any harm atall? Not secure or what?

no people just say because of the thread, if you think about it, how can it, all its doing is holding wheel at end of day, as long as its securely threaded

Sprayed them black now mate, going stealth ;)
Me, liam and alex went to fit them today but rubbed like a b*tch. So getting some new rubber as they are on 55 profile at the mo.

i think it does matter, i had abit of trouble fitting vtr wheels to myn with steels. from what ive been told at citroen garage

wheels/cars which use taperd bolts:
Mk1 & Mk2 with steel wheels
Mk1 VTR alloy wheels

wheels/cars which use Flat Bolt
Mk2 VTS wheels
Mk2 VTR wheels

so basically, if you have a Mk1 then you will have taperd bolts for you alloys meaning that you do need to buy some flat ones, but if you have a Mk2 then the bolts should be fine ..... i bought flat bolts for my vtr wheels (which were off a mk1) i end up getting more thread into the hub with the taperd bolts than the flat ones.

just have a look at what type of bolts you have, if there flat then you dont need to buy any more

to me that sounds stupid though, i dont see why citroen would pay money for a new mould on alloy wheels that are perfectly fine.... so dont take it as gospel cos it could be a load of turd. wouldnt mind some body setting me right on this if all of the above is a load of woffle as i would like to know myself for definate what the case is

I'll get some up in a bit dale. How much tread do them tyres have and what makes are they? how much you want for them?

I put one on earlier with the bolts i had and it seemed ok smogie. I do have a mk2 VTR though, but the bolts look tapered to me tbh. No idea, its confusing
