View Full Version : what wheel bearing do i need?

I am purchasing on GSF car parts and I am not sure of which one i need.....

N41207 WHEEL BEARING-FRONT SAXO 4 STUD WHEELS 1.1/1.4/1.6/15D >RP8093 £9.75

N41230 WHEEL BEARING-FRONT SAXO 1.1/1.4/1.6/15D RP8094> (4 STUD WHEELS) £15.25

either of them will do i think, one will be a budget one and the £15 one will be off better quality, i think anyway.

i think saxo's have 35mm and 37mm bearings fitted so you need to find tht out aswell

so has can anyone back up the comment made that the more expensive one is a better one and that both fit?

With eurocarparts the more expensive one is the one for the later saxo's (1999 onwards)

But your best bet is to ring them and let them check their catalogues mate.

And by the way, Cheep bearings are notorious for not lasting.

My VTR was manufactured in 1999, does that mean that i get the 96-99 or 99-02

You want the later bearings mate. Mine is a MK1 '99 and mine uses the later bearings.

Just checked the exact dates. The older ones stopped at january 1999 and the newer ones begun at february 1999. The newer ones have a larger hub nut.

And the internal diameter of the bearing changed, from 99>, because the later saxo's have a bigger hub.
