top mount

about a hour ago i was putting on my upper strut brace and the bolts snapped off the top mount..
i have got a new one and i was wondering how hard it is to change/ what do i have to take off to fit the new one?
any help will be thanked.

would it be possible /cheaper to drill and tap it?

You have to remove suspension strut and partly take it apart. Not a particularly difficult job if you're mechanically minded.

dont lie. ball joints and track rods are a fucking nightmare! i only have 2 bolts on one side at the minute, will change topmount when i do my engine conversion

Tom same thing happened to me buddy and a few others on here aswel. If you dont want to do it yourself i know a mechanic who will do it on the cheap. Hes doing mine next month :)

you stop lying lol

all you need for ball joints and track rods is a big pikey hammer

trust me i done my track rod end today and couple of hits with a 2.5lb lump hammer and came out easy

it alright i have fixed the top mount now but the track rod end it hackered now so getting a new one today :)
