Right...

This must have been posted a 1000 times by now but I need your help...

:y:

My VTR is going in August/September once I get my holiday and finances sorted...

The reason being is I wasnt told that it had been in a bump when I bought it (last september) and theres now to many little things that need fixing and to add insult to injury now my gear box has gone which most of you know isnt the cheapest thing to correct. It's just dis-heartnened me to much to continue spending £100's on it from my wages each month which to me its got to a point where im just throwing money down the drain....

SO...

The quest continues to search for a new car. But the obvious hurdles stand in my way...

Age, insurance, cost and reliability is a key feature...

Im 19 with 2 years no claims (in July) and 2 and half years driving with a full UK licence so not to bad...

But im " SOOOOOOOOOO " stuck on what car to get. So many keep popping into my head but then either the novelty wears off or the INSURANCE is way to high for me...

So what I'm hoping for out of this thread is a few REALISTIC suggestions.

For example I was looking at Punto GT's but they maybe fast but as with most hot hatches they have been ragged and the build quality is just as bad as a SAXO. The same as GLANZA's.

172, 182 clio's, Type R = Way to much insurance...

I have a budget of about £1400 ish for insurance ...

I'll be getting a loan so around £4000 MAX for the car

Just as an example a PUG 106 GTI for me is between £1300 - £1500

DO NOT WANT SHIT BUILD QUALITY, MAINTINENCE (FRENCH BASICALLY :D)

Please help as im going out my mind as im a CAR NUT really bad but want the right car for me....

IM AFTER SMALL, FAST, HOT HATCH NOT ESTATE OR BIG CAR SOMETHING FUN TO DRIVE YET AGAIN RELIABLE, LOOKS MINT WHEN SUBTLY MODIFIED (LIKE THE SAX HEHE)

Sorry for the rant but everyone's been there :wall:

:D

Fiesta ST should be good insurance with your 2 years ncb and having had your license for 2 years too :y: They're getting really cheap now aswell. Build quality it excellent too :y:

EDIT: if you do happen to get shite quotes for the ST then Zetec S version would be better :)

try a mk4 gti t golf insurance is the same group as 106 gti i think, really reliable i work on them theyl do 150 k plus no worries, or an A3 same engine as in the golf look for 1.8t sport, JCs-vtr was talking about think there cheaper insurance aswell though.

I second that. DOn't be disheartened when your car goes tits up. If you get rid of it and then get something your not happy with you will wish you had your Saxo back
