My VTR has got…

The only “Mod” he has got is a halfords £20 air filter.:homme:

well you would beat him in the twistys, but im not sure if the engine size would be balanced out with the weight of his car tbh

find a bit of private land or go to a track :)

Saxo Tbh astras weigh alot more and the 1.8 only has 115bhp.

The VTR, it wouldnt even be a good race. Astra = Cruise Liner. If he thinks he can beat you slap him hard.

Do people not have the ability to look on parkers at 0-60s. By all means, they may not be entirely correct, but hold far more credibility than a forum full of saxo drivers.

They are 123 mate....

There is a 115 version, but only if u get the 1.8 from pre 2000, you can tell which engine it has as the 115 is a wire throttle, and the 123 is a fly by wire.

And the 1.8 is just about quicker then the VTR.

Tell him to get a Z20LET engine transplant, then he can watch you in his rearview mirror.

Chris :)

who really cares?
Unless your on track/drag strip then i suppose it dosent really matter.
I dont go on the motorway and think "hmm,i wonder if i could have that VW golf..." then come here and make a thread on blatant stret racing

If you want to see whos faster go to the strip or on track.

If you want stats use parkersguide.

Please dont create such threads on saxperience.

astras do not handle well and thats a fact, ive owned 11 or more they are absolute shit lol. reliable as feck and a fantastic car but theres absolutly no comparison of an astra running standard suspension, tbh even if its put on a decent set of shocks and springs its not really the car for it.

want to see how good mk3 astras are at racing? see if you can find me a video on youtube of an astra mk3 even the 2.0 sport round a race track.
