whose number ?

Is there anyway you can find out who a number belongs to besides from ringing it. Got a bit of a concerning text last night off a "new" number and without going into details i dont want to ring it but realy need to find out who it is.
Any way around this any advise is much appreciated :y:

do you think you know them? try typing the number into facebook then it shows who's mobile it is, long shot but has helped me out occasionally

get your mates with similar friends to check it against numbers in there phone book to see if they have it saved :y:

Yeh well i hope its just my mates messing about but i pranked the number i have of the person that the text said it was from and it was cut off. :panic:

if its urgent, you can ring the police, and i think they can tell you the location of the phone when they sent the text if thats any help.

Yep i just had a brain wave and called it off the dialer at work in mute shows up as an 0845 number and it was her :wall: seriously better be a bad idea of a joke. How the fuck would she know after about 2 weeks anyway!

on one hand i dont know why she would make that up as a joke, and i think there is a possibilty she knows after 2 weeks,

but.......doesnt mean its you...could be some other guy. ring her now you know its her and have a serious chat....ask her what she meant in the text.
