Hi,
I previously sprayed my vtr alloys yellow, using halfords spray paint, but theyve faded really easily which isnt good. Anyway, I've decided im going to spray them blue instead because i think itll look better, and I found this spray paint instead:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/400ml-Painters-Touch-Brilliant-Blue/dp/B001W03PBS/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&s=diy&qid=1243113241&sr=8-9

do you reckon this would be fine for alloys? it says it doesnt fade so it sounds like a better option.

Also, can i use paint stripper to get off the yellow spray paint? What stripper is the best for this?

Cheers!

nitro mors is the paint stripper for the job.

halfords jobby £4.99. erm im guessing you like to stand out in the crowd?
not sure on the paint. if you used primer+filler primer a few coats. paint a few coats then 4 coats of laquer the paint shouldnt of faded. unless you just sprayed it on without prep work?

okeydokey thanks, ill have a look for it then, is it easy to use?

yer i sprayed them just like you said, i actually followed a guide on this forum when i did them..but theyve definitely dulled down a bit. I think if i did them again i would take alot more care over them and fill in the damaged parts

yeah mate. if you search on google

spraying VTR alloys will take you to a link on here and it shows a guy using nitromors.

it bubbles the paint in about 2 minutes then you keep applying coats after an hour come back and scrap and scrub the paint down to bare metal then start your prep work (y)
