The fuel here is always a few pennies more than elsewhere, but for the first time in years petrol has overtaken diesel. 105.9 as opposed to 104.9 for diesel.
Why the sudden change?

I am in West of Scotland. maybe some of the older members here will remember the Paul mc Cartney song "Mull of Kintyre"?
We always get ripped off for fuel cos we only have one filling station for miles around, nearest city is Glasgow (130 miles by road)
Just never seen petrol dearer for ages, though diesel is cheaper to produce

94 is the cheapest Ive seen petrol
£1.05 the Cheapest for Diesel
Most Expensive Ive seen is Pertol £1.04 and Diesel at £1.10
And Before the Cornish Jokes ( You dont know what cars are, you have Horses etc) flood in
Those values are varied over a distance of a mile between stations

funnily enough not really. but considering it's double the power and it's powered on fuel gobbling petrol, I'm getting about only 10-20mpg less in VTS compared to the derv.
Dadsayer got cheesed off with me because he was getting 50mpg going from sayertowers to guildford in his diesel and I was getting 50mpg doing the exact same run in my VTS

the fuel is actually taxed the same mate (at least it was last year)
it's the fuel producing companies that are putting the mark up on it... although it's cheaper to produce they haven't quite developed the infrastructure to support the increased demand of the diesel, so technically there is a 'shortage' as diesel reserves are much lower than our petrol... thus the companies charge more for it and because in that price increase a percentage is paying for the cost of improving the infrastructure yo
