Was thinking of just spraying these by can as my lecturers at college are being pricks and not letting us take our cars in to work on :n: Would just like to know if anyone has done or seen the results of doing it by can ? Comments much appreciated.

Hiya mate im in the middle of doing this, just finished rough sanding the trims. If you have the space to do it then crack on. Any advice you need on it just ask. If you are going to do it yourself just buy cans of primer first rather than primer spray and laquer, get about 4-5 cans of primer (might need more tho). Also get course sandpaper along with a pack of wet and dry and masking tape.

What 'laqure'? He's talking about the black/grey bumpstips that are pitted etc, and he wants to spray them to match his car.

To get a finish anything like the paintwork around it though mate, you'll have to really get it perfectly smooth with the sanding first, before you even contemplate primer and paint.

marcusd is on about me, if is easy enough to do, but cost might be around 100 pounds or more never really added it up, just make sure you tape everything off properly, but would advise having a go your self, IF YOUR CONFIDENT.

Correct. Good advice that. Preperation is the key to a great finish
