a few months ago i crashed and was charged with careless driving (due care) and was told i could lose my license and stuff :n: so for the past 2 months i've been constantly worried about what is going to happen. i wanted a new car too but didnt wan to look for one and get my hopes up incase i did get my license revoked or anything, but yesterday i got a letter through from the fiscal saying the are not taking any more action on the case :fcuk: so thats me a veryyyyyyy happyy boy, but also a very lucky boy :)

means i can look for a new car now, think i'm gonna go for another sexo again :A: can't wait now lol fed up of getting buses everywere :n:

just thought i'd share this wee story lol

Fortunate, though to be honest I don't see how you can be charged for driving without due care, it's hardly a big accident. People crash, it happens

just read your other thread and lol'd at the people saying 'oh it's the people that try to screw the system that cost us all money' well hows about this the system screws us so why not screw it over when you get a chance. I know i did when some woman ran into the back of my Golf, managed to get a 2k claim out of it and a full new rear end for the car even though it was only the bootlid and bumper affected.

I dont understand the due care and attention charge as well. I rolled by old saxo (national speed limit country road) in to a field taking out a fence on the way and did not get charged with anything. Got breathalised at the hospital, he took a statement and that was that.

glad to hear mate, and tbh it would of been very unfair if you did get charged, accidents happen, life goes on
