Got a silver vtr, i use back to black and tyre shine to get the black.. blacker. But what do people think about waxing silver cars, imo it doesn't do alot better for them looks wise.

Opinions?

wax will offer protection to the paint not just looks. as for shine then you can still get that wet deep gloss on silver if you use the right stuff ;-)

Any tips or products that you would like to share with a fellow silver car owner :P

mines icelandic grey so bit different but for a budget and doing it by hand id probs suggest the clearkote products of vanilla moose hand glaze then the yellow moose after with something like poorboys white paste wax over the top. altho AG super resin followed by blackfire gloss enhancin polish with poorboys wax/chemical guys XXX should be a good en too :)

but is you have a machine the possibilities go on and on... hope tht helps a bit neway matey.

if you like your car then yes you should wax it. It will add some gloss to the finish but importantly it adds protection to the paint.

As said, wax adds protection, and should be done regularly.

Polishing on the other hand is abrasive and should only be done 2/3 times a year.

I disagree..
Any saxo silver + any wax improves the look of the car alot.

Search for Adsayers 1.1, he used your average AutoGlym wax on it and made it look so much better.

Sorry but i would hardly call it useless. Its made the bumper strips blacker and also covered up little scratches and the one or two big ones lol.
What more could i ask for ;)

Definitely worth waxing and polishing in my mind. Took all weekend that did!

Been using Clearkote Vanilla Moose Wax Hand Glaze, then Clearkote Moose Wax (not the yellow one, that's for dark cars) followed by Poorboys Nattys Paste Wax (white) on my mums silver Leon FR ...looks sweet ...you can get a good finish on silver, and I would deff recommend using a wax for the deeper shine and also protection :y:
